About Vetiveah

Vetiveah Immanuel is a visionary entrepreneur, urban farmer, nutrition coach, and advocate for everyone having equitable access to healthy, affordable, culturally appropriate food and the opportunity to participate in the food system for themselves. Known affectionately as "Vee," she is the founding CEO of Radiance Gardens, a wellness and garden education brand that teaches people of all ages how to grow fresh food and herbs with confidence, no matter how much space they have.

Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in neighborhoods with limited access to fresh, healthy foods, Vetiveah experienced the realities of food insecurity firsthand. Determined to create change, she pursued a professional background in health sciences, nutrition, and urban agriculture. Today, she is an award-winning food justice advocate who serves on several boards, including the Liberated Land Cooperative, CT Farm to School Collaborative, CT Food Sovereignty Coalition, and the CT Northeast Organic Farming Association. Guided by a deep respect for the land, Vetiveah is dedicated to advancing holistic health and wellness by promoting the vital connection between healthy soil, nutritious food, and thriving communities.

Alongside her social enterprise, Vetiveah is a passionate educator, speaker, and food justice advocate dedicated to helping people reconnect with their food, their communities, and the land. Through hands-on workshops, speaking engagements, and community programs, she teaches people of all ages how to grow fresh food with confidence while inspiring them to become active participants in building healthier, more resilient food systems. Guided by her faith and a deep respect for creation, Vetiveah believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow nourishing food, steward the land, and contribute to thriving communities.
